BlueNalu, the global leader in the development of cell-cultured seafood, uses Uncountable’s platform to streamline its research & development efforts.

BlueNalu's mission is to create a sustainable source of seafood, offering consumers a healthy option free from micro-plastics, mercury, pesticides, and other environmental contaminants. BlueNalu’s first product, sushi-grade cell-cultured bluefin tuna toro, marks a significant step towards creating a more stable, safe, and sustainable seafood supply.

The addition of BlueNalu to Uncountable’s roster of innovative companies reflects the platform’s versatility and adaptability across various industries. Before adopting Uncountable, BlueNalu relied on traditional recording methods for its data collection and storage needs.  While these methods worked well at small scale, BlueNalu found that traditional recording methods were hard to keep up to date and not well suited to the complexities of handling and auditing research data as the company grew.

According to Keerthi Srinivas, Ph.D., BlueNalu's Director of Bioprocess Development, Uncountable’s platform has significantly helped BlueNalu gain productivity and time for its scientists and operators through its enhanced data recording, analysis and exporting features.  “It’s in its early stages but since we started using Uncountable, we have already observed an increase in R&D efficiency of at least 25% – and our goal is to keep improving on this metric as we continue to scale,” Keerthi added. The platform’s robust capabilities,  including  data analysis, presentation integration, and automated auditing trails, allows BlueNalu's scientists to focus more on their core work: scaling up cell lines for its premium seafood products.
